It's Sunday evening at the Celtic Manor in Wales and with a day to go that team Europe has a comfortable lead over Team USA. There is some excellent shot making both sides, but the person that I feel is most valuable in putting Team Europe in the lead is their captain, Colin Montgomerie.

Montgomerie has brilliant his rights as the captain of the home team used to play on his players strengths and exploit the weaknesses of Team USA.

One of the rights of the host master is to choose home the course is to focus and that's exactly what he did. Team USA is much longer from the tee than Team Europe but Team Europe is more accurate, so Montgomerie had narrowed the fairways and rough long grown. Jim Furyk was quoted as saying that the crude is the longest that he played in his entire career, advantage Team Europe.

Play On the PGA Tour players normally on the Greens that are very fast, faster than in Europe. Montgomerie the next step was to slow the speed of the greens. The result of Monty slow the greens is the members of the Team USA leave many critical and normal Constructible putts, on line but just short of the hole.Once more advantage Team Europe.

If Team USA began to rally on Sunday Montgomerie made his third move, a psychological. Dottie Pepper of NBC reported on TV that while Team Europe their matches led the big TV screens around the course showed scores and little live action. but as the Team Europe lead shrank in contests the live action took the plates and less competition scoring was shown.Next, when Team Europe a hole in one contest won the change in the score immediately posted but if Team USA won a hole there was a long delay before the score has changed. The master wanted to keep the positive news flows to his team for as long as possible.

Colin Montgomerie knows his rights as captain and masterful in his wiliness have been during the Ryder Cup 2010. As Team Europe in the individual game and the Ryder Cup wins wouldn't suprise me to see Montgomerie is asked to repeat as captain.

In my opinion, the big crowd, big play and wiliness is what makes the Ryder Cup so much fun to watch.
